The Extraordinary Beauty of the Ordinary
In my photographic art, I have always focused on the beauty in the seemingly mundane, crumpled bedsheets, the way light filters through a dirty window, an old discarded shoelace half-submerged in a mud puddle, fallen leaves, dead flowers, and the weathered half-missing paint on a neglected building. To find the beauty in what others do not see and gently show them what they are missing, that has always been my goal as a photographer and an artist. It is a form of Zen teaching. Many wonderful photographers, artists, and Zen Masters I grew up with have shown this to me and now, in their legacy and continuation, I do the same. And here I am doing it for you.
